Highlights of the 4th ODI between Sri Lanka and South Africa
at Kimberly on 20th January 2012. Sri Lankans were down in the series being
already lost with 3 consecutive defeats. South Africa batted first and compiled
a massive 299 which seemed to be way beyond of Sri Lankans reach. But in the
end they chased it down with 8 balls to spare. Thisara Perera launched a brutal
assault on the South African bowlers for a 44 ball 69 which included 5 sixes 3
fours
Highlights of
the 2008 Asia cup finals between Sri Lanka and India at the national stadium
Karachi on 6th July 2008. India won the toss and elected to field. Sri Lanka
made 273 thanks mainly to Sanath Jayasuriya who belted the Indian bowlers to
all parts of the ground for his 125 while the other batsmen except T.M Dilshan
were getting out cheaply. Then everyone witnessed one of the greatest spells of
mystery bowling in the history from the Sri Lankan rookie Ajantha Mendis who
destroyed India with a magical 6 wickets for just 13 runs to be named the Man
of the Match and the Man of the Series.
