1996 World Cup Final - Last few moments

Final few minutes of the 1996 Wills World Cup Final and the celebrations and presentations afterwards. This is one of the greatest moments of Sri Lankan history and even today fills us with emotions. Thought to share this with all the cricket fans because we werent so lucky enough to celebrate a moment like this after 1996 though we got so close on two other occations. The historic test match between Sri Lanka vs England where the young Muttiah Muralitharan destroyed England with 16 wickets for the match. With a great double century from Sanath Jayasuriya and a marvelous century from Aravinda De Silva, Sri Lanka won for the first time in England by 10 wickets

The greatest day of Sri Lanka Cricket
Sri Lanka revolutionised the one-day format with their manic hitting in the first 15 overs, even while chasing, and were deserved winners. Aravinda de Silva produced a stunning all-round performance in the final to overcome Australia. This is where it all started
